In Ancient times families were distinguished through crests, still in cultures this exists even in the United States

Our family crest is that of a mermaid with a mirror and brush. To find this through research was astounding. Can you imagine what my brothers were saying.  It was hilarious.

My daughter came across the Pictish Mermaid. With a few minor adjustments the symbol has been tattooed on members of my immediate family. A tradition we plan on carrying forward for generations.
